Outdoor facilities for the new building of the Authority for Urban Development and the Environment (BSU)
The design idea of the outdoor spaces refers to the goals and tasks of the Authority for Urban Development and the Environment, such as landscape planning, sustainability, soil and climate protection, and translates them into design structures. The open space structures on the roof terraces and the garden courtyard were derived from a selection of images of typical Hamburg landscapes such as the carpet-like Geest landscapes and tideways on the Elbe. The themes of climate protection and sustainability are taken into account, particularly in the green roofs and choice of materials.
