New construction of a gymnasium and a class wing with outdoor facilities in 4 construction phases

An overall concept was created for the school grounds that addresses both the historic building stock and the unusual elevation situation with the surroundings to the east. The provision of various infrastructures for school operations and the creation of open spaces in the narrow ensemble of buildings were equally important.
The school site is characterized by the church of St. Peter and the historic convent building. Through the new construction of a classroom wing in the rear area of the playground, the inner courtyard is newly defined and receives a new urban dimension. The outdoor area was divided into 4 construction phases. In the third construction phase, the schoolyard was constructed as a large multifunctional break and sports area with a synthetic surface.
