Electoral Palace Koblenz Modern classic

From parking lot to inner-city living space - long isolated from public life, the Schlossvorplatz is now an important urban building block. With the two inner courtyards of the circular buildings, the citizens have a generous and appealing green space at their disposal. The special atmosphere and radiance are based on the well-proportioned mixture of old and new. In typical plant elements and geometries, in the colours and materials, we preserve and reinterpret the history of the site.

The same is true of the palace garden: the structure of the plantings and paths is both a reminiscence of the original designs by Peter Joseph Lenne and a contemporary reproduction of the palace ground plan. Formerly inaccessible, the palace garden is now also a public green space. Two gates in the wall provide direct access from and to the Rhine. Through the clearing of the trees, the castle has also once again become a characteristic part of the city skyline.
