As part of the Social City of Würzburg Zellerau, the central business area in the district was redesigned.
By rearranging the traffic areas and renewing the surfaces, the traffic routing is improved and the quality of stay in the center of the district is increased.
Oversized streets and disorderly parking space situations were reorganized.
From a former traffic island, a square with trees, play point and benches has emerged. At the same time, the street trees reinforce the edges of the space.
A central square has been created in the city quarter, which is a place of encounter and offers open space for festivals and markets.
