In connection with the refurbishment of the music school and library building by architects Schlotter und Thimm - Stadtroda, the open spaces were completely redesigned.

The design is in the context of the residential slab architecture of the 1970s.

The building grid is picked up by a series of parallel paving strips.

In contrast, the geometric shapes are interspersed with soft moving lines in the form of walls, paving strips and terrain modeling.

Several functional areas are created, the representative entrance area, where the architectural language merges into the open spaces through curved wall slabs, a reading garden and play area as well as terrace areas for the youth club.
