Hamburg's water management faces major challenges to ensure protection against flooding even in times of climate change. An increase in the amount of precipitation in the winter half-year is forecast, and precipitation will also occur more frequently as heavy rain in conjunction with storms and thunderstorms. At the same time, the trend towards the sealing of surfaces in Hamburg continues. Insebondere Starkregenereignisse can lead then to overloading of the sewage system and the waters and thus to flooding of roads and cellars ... The project is committed to a new way of dealing with rainwater in Hamburg: from life on the water to life with water.

Atilier Dreiseitl has presented the contents of RISA in an understandable form and prepared for dissemination to the public, both at the political level, as well as at the level of citizens and participated in workshops and panel discussions.
