On the site of the former paper factory in Niefern, a new school and sports facility was built with a circular running track with an indoor grass playing field and areas for the disciplines of high jump, discus/hammer throw, javelin throw, long jump, triple jump, shot put and pole vault, as well as with an adjacent fin runway. In addition, the adjacent old tree population was protected and integrated into the planning. The Bohnenberger Straße was extended accordingly and provided with the necessary infrastructure.
