Redesign of the outdoor facilities of the day care centre Roquettestraße 59 in Dresden

The outdoor area of the kindergarten was redesigned in two construction phases during ongoing operation. Around the central meadow with a toboggan hill, there is a sand and mud area, a play ship, a climbing forest, shrub hiding places and a ball field. A scooter track provides access to the play areas. Sandstone blocks divide and delimit the play areas and at the same time invite to climbing and balancing. In the new garden house (replacement building) there is plenty of room for the children's riding and playing equipment as well as the caretaker's garden tools. Despite the need to replace the soil, it was possible to retain most of the characteristic old trees. Mixed perennial plantings make the entrance area a meeting place.
