Trying out as a double for the restored figure of the Virgin Mary?
Unambiguously a matter for the boss! The mayor Georg Retz does not let himself be taken!

The Vilstal has been the location of brickworks for centuries. GIMA, the brick manufacturer based in the neighbouring town of Marklkofen, therefore did not miss the opportunity to develop its own dark brown clinker brick for the redevelopment of the town centre in Frontenhausen.
The laying of the brick (a frame format with the dimensions 290 x 115 x 70 mm, laid on edge in herringbone bond) places high demands on the local pavers in terms of the load-bearing capacity of the superstructure and laying accuracy. However, with the skill and experience of the 'old hands', over 5,000 m2 of clinker paving is gradually being laid to everyone's satisfaction.
Even after more than 4 years of intensive use and driving even by heavy traffic, no shifts or subsidence are to be criticized.

The market community proudly bears the historical right to hold a regular market in its name. With the redesign of Marienplatz, the weekly market, carnival market and Christmas market have once again been given the environment they deserve.

Working with lighting designers is part of our office's daily business. The LMK office from Austria developed a lighting concept for the interior location in close coordination with us that does completely without free-standing pole luminaires.
Simple façade luminaires now trace the spatial edges of the square even in the dark and let the magnificent tail-gable façades shine in a completely new light. LED strip lighting at the edges of the square and recessed wall luminaires unobtrusively complement the basic lighting.

Benches, trees, fountains - three important basic elements of any successful square design.
And water does not only provide joy for children...

A measure of this magnitude, which turns an entire inner town upside down, which challenges old habits and whose implementation demands good nerves and stamina from all those affected, voluntarily or involuntarily, can only be a success with the acceptance of the local population.
The 'new Marienplatz' in gingerbread dough in the display of the baker on the square is a nice sign of this success.

The historic baptismal font of the market church found itself, half buried, in the garden of the rectory as a flower trough.
Carefully restored, it adorns the entrance area in front of the main portal of the church of St. Jacob as a simple fountain.

Within the framework of a small, invited artist competition, a suitable design was sought for the planned market fountain, which was also to become the new location for the historic figure of the Virgin Mary.
The design of the artist Judith Lipfert was awarded first prize. The design language and choice of materials fit harmoniously into the overall design.
The implementation of the design was carried out in the sense of regional thinking and action by the blacksmith's shop in the neighboring village.
