The structures of the existing landscape space are integrated into the open spaces of the schools. The buildings are embedded in generous lawn and meadow areas. Loose groups of trees and woody plants support the landscape appearance and are used to create space.
The transition to the scenic Krebsenbach floodplain is kept open to allow the experience of nature in class or during recess. Students are guided through linear vegetation structures to the central break area between the assembly hall and gymnasium.
From the forecourt, the view relationship into the open landscape space to the east is kept open via the break yard of the high school.
From the spacious break yard of the Graf-Rasso-Gymnasium, the Theatron opens up to the landscape. The adjoining 'green break' to the south is selectively equipped with modelled rubber surfaces that encourage play and movement.
