Numerous industrial buildings were demolished in the centre of Werdau. This provided the opportunity to implement the idea of a continuous green corridor along the former city wall and the Pleiße river.
On the Pleiße arose, on a deconstruction area of the small "Generation Park" which is connected via the "City Terrace with the immediate city center. On the opposite bank of the Pleiße a skater park was created in cooperation with the local scene. On another area the so-called "Massi - Park" was created (area of the former VEB Maßindustrie, short "Massi").
