The design for the 7.5 hectare Bonifatiuspark is a contemporary interpretation of a classic landscape park: spacious, quiet lawns with various play and recreation areas are spatially framed by an exciting juxtaposition of strict rows of trees and free groups of trees; wide main paths open up the park, the neighbouring residential areas are integrated by cross-paths.

Despite the street dividing the park, the design seeks to create a coherent park. The demand for continuity between the two areas of the park to the west and east of the road respectively is made clear above all by the concise linear maple plantings that incorporate the road space into the park. Likewise, the promenade running along the northern edge of the park with the accompanying wall made of limestone or sandstone as well as the main access path follow this goal.

The actual "spiritual and social" center of the complex is located in the western park area: Here, all the design elements characteristic of Bonifatiuspark come together in a generous plaza area: free groups of trees announce the more scenic area in the west, the strict rows of maples have their prelude here, opening and directing the view to the eastern park areas. To the north of this central square area, the imposing walls of the park promenade, which are a good 5 m high here, open up and make way for an extensive flight of steps. The staircase mediates between the two levels and is both a place of movement and a place to stay.

The Bonifatius Fountain is located in the south of the central square, nestled between the existing trees.
