Since 2002, we have regularly planned the spring and summer planting of the large flower bed and other central alternating flower areas at ega Erfurt. New design themes are worked on every year.
In 2013, the annual theme of ega is "Garden Diversity". It is interpreted in spring through the juxtaposition of uniform and diverse elements.
Monotony in the sense of sameness is created by relatively strict, continuous tulip ribbon, which complements and plays around the historically established lawn ribbon.
In contrast, free organic forms flow from the edge into the beds. They consist of mixed plantings in diverse shades of color, heights, area borders, foliage and flower textures. Different flowering heights increase this variety additionally.
The not planted areas will be sown with cress. They thus create a harmonizing spatial framework and prevent the exuberance of the play of colors and shapes.
