Vertical slabs of stone form a space inside which layered limestones mimic the spiral of a snail's shell. The spiral shape is also found in the young shoots of ferns that grow between the plates and stones.
Fine spray mist changes the images and lures children and adults with the promise of mystery and coolness in the stone maze.
The fog garden was designed in the office Latz Partner, the detailing and execution was done together with students of the Munich - Weihenstephan with the help of the staff of the Conservatoire International des Parcs et des Jardins 1998.
