The Rieth waterway rest area is located directly on the Szczecin Lagoon in a prime holiday location. It is not only used by boat tourists, but also the Oder-Neisse cycle path attracts numerous bicycle tourists.
The usual equipment of waterway rest areas with moorings, seating, shelters and sanitary facilities could be implemented in Rieth in a special way:
As a roofing for the seating area, a specially constructed structure made of steel and high-pressure laminate panels was installed. The roof consists of two parts, which overlap and remind of the sails of Zeesenbooten - small flat sailboats, which were used traditionally for the fishery in the Haff - also in their colouring.
The equipment with seat opportunity is stressed modern. Paved areas have been paved with reused clinker material.
In addition to the existing berths, the bathing area was upgraded with games and sports facilities and a sanitary block was built (architect D. Bartelt).
With this equipment, the waterway rest area has established itself as a place for numerous small events such as smoking, mulled wine bar and concerts by the community and the resident holiday home operator and contributes to the flair of the remote holiday resort.
