In the district of Freimann, a new student residence with 464 residential units was built in a prominent location at the city entrance to Munich. The open spaces are essentially divided into a south courtyard for a quiet stay and a north courtyard for sports activities and social gatherings.

The south courtyard was designed with round benches made of solid oak and covered with bubble ash trees as an atmospheric eye-catcher and shade. Trimmed copper beech hedges screen the court from the apartments. A large water basin with fountains marks the transition to the public street space. In the north courtyard, a sunken area with sun sails, stools, a barbecue and wooden benches (oak) around the perimeter was created and supplemented by a beach volleyball court with a drinking fountain.
