At the foot of the Bavarian Forest at the gates of Deggendorf, the name-giving
elyptic dome of the all-season bath arches out of the plain. The location qualities of the bath exist above all in this scenic location, as it were a kind of foothills of the Bavarian Forest - the nearby Natternberg - formally modeled. The charming view relationships became an essential design element for the bath and the open space. Like a ship's keel, the raised bathing slab slides into the green waves of the lawn; the bather swims out into the landscape undisturbed. Necessary fences are completely hidden by the terrain modelling, so that views in all directions can be kept consistently open.
A Zen garden, natural bathing pond and green relaxation rooms offer places to relax and meditate in the sauna garden. Bands of willow trace the old field order and provide pleasant spatial divisions of the outdoor pool meadows. The open rainwater is visible in many facets. In addition to the fun of bathing, the bathers also learn about the ecological aspects of water, including its design appeal and its importance for the natural balance.
