The winery uses a special method in which the processes of winemaking run from top to bottom. The outdoor facilities are designed accordingly. Above lies the farm, below the marketing.
The gentle integration into the vineyards symbolizes the production in harmony with the natural conditions.
Farmyard, technical storage and the washing and tank place are located uphill on the courtyard cellar ceiling and are paved with mastic asphalt.
Vine terraces designed with vineyard shrubs and dry stone walls convey to the wine yard with sales and tasting. They can be used variably for events. Here artistic interventions offer themselves. The view of the landscape is magnificent. Fruit trees provide shade and integrate the outdoor facilities into the terrain.
The local volcanic tephrite was the inspiration for the choice of materials in lava tones and harmonises with the Cor-Ten steel façade of the building
The collected rainwater is channelled into cisterns, the excess is infiltrated via a trough-rigole system. Where appropriate, infiltration-capable pavements were used.
