During the modernisation and redensification of the Gründerzeit building ensemble at Spichernstraße 6 to 10 in Cologne, it was possible to arrange the conversion tasks in such a way that the previously separate parcels of land could be linked together via courtyards. This gave rise to the working title Spichernhöfe. To this title we dedicated a program for the revitalization of a small quarter within the Gründerzeit city and the development of a new urban center: A mix of uses including offices, shops and apartments is grouped around high-quality designed public courtyard areas.
