The outdoor facilities were developed together with the staff of the children's hospice as a diverse play space for the children. A barrier-free circular path connects the different play areas, which are arranged around the building.
A palm tree made of robinia wood is a key design feature of all the play equipment. This symbolizes a special recreation area for the children, who usually spend a three-week stay in the children's hospice.
