Ecological and species protection mapping and investigations

The formerly existing receiving water systems, especially on the east side of Lake Cospuden, were partially removed in the course of mining. Therefore, there are or were plans to create a receiving water here, which will enable the targeted surface water drainage with alignment to the existing receiving water (Floßgraben) under exclusion of Lake Cospuden. Currently, the raft ditch old course is only in the area between
Border ditch and the Ziegelei-weg and further to the mouth in the Pleiße covered. In a possible planning the raft ditch east of the Cospudener lake should be continuously strung and finally connect the Zwenkauer lake with the Pleiße. The planning approval decision "Production of the raft ditch" contains several ancillary provisions with regard to nature and landscape concerns. These mainly concern the recording of relevant species and their habitats.
