Municipal Hospital Kiel

The area of the Kiel Municipal Hospital is predominantly characterised by recent new buildings. Only in the area of Metzstraße are old structures still present in the form of pavilion buildings, connecting buildings and the old main entrance.
These old buildings are currently being extensively renovated and restructured. In the course of these rebuilding measures it comes also to a reorganization of the external plants.

The Geriatrie receives a therapy garden with going school and therapeutic mechanisms. These offers as well as numerous circular paths are intended to serve as an incentive for patients to test their mobility and to be encouraged to exercise in the company of others.

In further construction phases, the restoration of the old main entrance with forecourt and driveway, the open spaces on Metzstraße and the inner courtyard of House 2 are planned.
