In a joint venture with TOPOS Stadtplanung Landschaftsplanung Stadtforschung, gruppe F developed the strategic framework concept for the area around the Großer Tiergarten. The focus was on connecting the park with its urban surroundings. A concept was developed that reverses the previously rather divisive effect of the Großer Tiergarten and emphasizes the garden monument as the starting point for strengthening the entire urban space and as the interface between City East and City West. The concept development was accompanied by an intensive communication process. In several 'Tiergarten dialogs', interested parties were given the opportunity to find out about the objectives and content of the plans and to contribute their own ideas. Four guidelines for the green center formed the conceptual framework. A wide range of measures and concept modules were developed to implement the objectives. These serve as the basis for further in-depth studies and structural and organizational projects in the planning area.
