For the area of the former Hobrechtsfelde sewage fields, gruppe F developed an overall landscape planning concept that combines aspects of nature and landscape conservation with recreational functions. The starting point for the concept was the re-irrigation of the sewage fields near Berlin-Buch. Open areas, bushes and groups of trees alternate on soils with varying levels of pollution. The aim is to develop a varied, wooded landscape. The stabilization of the landscape water balance is a top priority. To meet the demands of local recreation, gruppe F developed concepts for visitor information and guidance as well as for strengthening the recreational facilities. Among other things, an audio guide was created that tells the special story of the site (http://www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/forsten/ rieselfelder_hobrechtsfelde/en/audio/index.shtml). In addition, the elements developed for the design and furnishing of the open space are robust and vandal-proof and at the same time low-maintenance and easy to produce using forestry resources.
