In the course of the renovation of the INTER Versicherung buildings 3 and 4 in Mannheim, the open spaces, which are almost completely on the underground car park ceiling, were redesigned. Matching the façade, bands of slabs made of basalt lava alternate with hedge elements to divide the lawn. Scattered solitary shrubs soften the strict structure and set seasonal accents. For the entrances and parking spaces, natural stone paving made of yellow Waldstein granite and basalt lava was chosen depending on the use.
