The redesign of the open spaces at the town church deals intensively with the historical significance of the site and integrates today's usage requirements.
The church square near the center offers space for both stay and events. The place turns with a walk and stay offer to the city community and creates a new high point near the Treysaer city center.
An observation balcony provides a view of the landscape and thus connects the old town and the region. It is positioned on the historic town wall, thus incorporating the wall into the plaza. The paving was taken from the streets of Treysa, prepared for accessibility and laid again on the church square. This creates a high-quality surface with a clear reference to the materials of the adjacent alleys. At the same time, however, today's requirements for evenness and usability for all citizens are met.
Columnar oaks and rose beds divide the areas of use and emphasize the verticality of the Gothic church. The trees preserve the view into the distance and create a sublime space.
