In Leipzig Zoo, an enclosure for South American marmosets is being built directly behind the ticket office and forecourt area in the area of the so-called reading hill.
The elongated enclosure is divided into two islands for the animals (2 groups), surrounded by a continuous moat that serves to separate the animals. The varied planting is height-graded and is understood as an interpretation of the tropical rainforest, the habitat of the marmosets.
Furthermore, the prairie dog enclosure is renewed. two views present themselves to the visitor, each offering specific viewing opportunities.
The square around the new building at the concert garden receives a new face and forms a generous uniform surface by the coherent paving. An elliptical fountain offers the possibility of cooling off and fun and games in summer.
