An old, beautifully renovated coach house and the local painter Otto Ubbelohde, illustrator of the Grimm's fairy tales, give the idea for the schoolyard design.
A softly curved pen stroke of the painter executed as a paving ornament connects all schoolyard areas and creates well usable spaces for playing and learning. At prominent points, seating furniture in the form of an inkwell with oversized metal nibs is created.
Thus, small terraces with flower beds and benches, a large play forum in the courtyard, a climbing landscape and a small school garden are created in front of the coach houses.
