The project is located in the central downtown area of Riyadh and is grouped around the old palace complex "Murabba". The task and goal were to develop various parks that are connected by a network of paths and promenades. In addition, lawn valleys and dense tree plantings were to provide a pleasant microclimate. Since the quarter is located at the former Royal Palace and Historical Museum, it was also to serve representative purposes with specially designed entrance areas and a central square, the Medan, for events and gatherings.
In front of the entrance area of the museum begins a 215 m long canal, which is a special attraction for visitors and invites children to play.
