The area of the former Nibelungen barracks is being redesigned into a lively urban quarter with the TechCampus, commercial area, office use and residential use in the south. The special challenge lies in the slope situation inclined to the north, which is structured with terraces in such a way that the sunlight of all buildings is guaranteed.
Already implemented of the TechCampus Regensburg, the development required for the development and the representative opening square in the heart of the new quarter. Also completed were the public green space in the north and the first part of the large leisure and play park in the south. Play areas for children and young people are planned in three lenses. Various workshops were held in which groups were asked for their wishes and ideas. The children (7 - 12 yrs) were asked to draw their ideas. The young people (13 - 17 yrs) were invited to participate in the discussion. Their contributions were documented on call. The contributions were summarized and incorporated into the draft.
