In the course of the Federal Horticultural Show 2019 in Heilbronn, two temporary park landscapes have been created using innovative three-dimensional design methods. Inspired by dune and moraine landscapes, the "Summer Island" and the "Rose Garden" extend over approx. 3.5 hectares between the reinterpretation of the old harbour basins.
The "Rose Garden" serves as an exhibition area for the approx. 8,000 competition roses from various breeders in Germany. In addition to these, a further 4,200 perennials and around 200,000 bulbous plants turn the "Rose Garden" into a veritable sea of flowers.
The "Summer Island", as the central area of the Federal Horticultural Show, is, in addition to the exhibition area of the changing flower competition with about 50,000 plants and the bionic pavilions, an experience for young and old discoverers.
