Rehlberg site Georgsmarienhütte

The "Development of the Rehlberg Area" was announced in 2016 as an open space planning competition with object planning.

The redesign of the existing sports facility on the Rehlberg will create a high-quality area for sports and leisure activities and local recreation. The "Areal Rehlberg" will be equipped with a new type C athletics facility and a new sports home, which will be developed from the special topography of the site.
Furthermore, current developments in the sports and leisure sector will be taken into account in the form of a parkour facility, adventure and rooftop playground and a streetball facility. The generous green spaces invite people to linger and form a natural infiltration area. The parking situation was arranged and the topic of inclusion and accessibility was included in the overall planning.
