The hospital's open spaces are landscaped, as the site is located in an outdoor area and is adjacent to high-quality natural areas on three sides.

The design intensity increases towards the main entrance of the planned new building. The areas close to the building are characterised by high-quality paved and vegetated areas. The inner courtyards required for the illumination of the wings are formulated with different design means. Each of the inner courtyards interprets vegetation and paved surfaces in its own way.

The sustainable handling of rainwater by integrated trough-irrigation systems and completely greened roof surfaces of the new building are important planning objectives in order to relieve the existing networks to a large extent.

The side facing away from the building accommodates the helicopter landing pad and integrates the required service yard on the slope floor. A total of approx. 650 above-ground parking spaces cover the necessary requirements for visitors and employees. In order to improve the efficiency of the site development, a roundabout is integrated into the existing district road as a development system.
