NEW ORGANIZATION WITH CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
The aim of the planning is to create new qualities of stay through a new and unbundling of the traffic areas. This will be achieved by developing the ancillary areas into a promenade and providing sufficient space for pedestrians, outdoor gastronomy and shop displays in the future. As part of a public participation process, the main wishes of residents, business owners and users of Fuhlsbüttler Straße were compiled and woven into the design during the design phase.
DESIGN OF ATTRACTIVE SURFACES
In order to surround the new boulevard with a special "flair" and to visually emphasize the core area of Fuhlsbüttler Straße, a sand-colored stone in a solid herringbone pattern will be laid as the paving, contributing to a warm and appealing atmosphere. The different functional areas, e.g. for outdoor catering and displays, will be clearly marked by anthracite-coloured stones.
