No life without bees!

We can not live without the bee. The theme garden wants to win the visitor for this topic and dispel any concerns. What does a bee need in the garden? How can this be implemented in a home garden?

Even the shape of the decking, planting beds and the garden fencing put you as a visitor in the mood for the theme. The shape of the hexagon serves the design as a unifying and pictorial element. Modernity in material and form is used in contrast to the natural ecological character of the garden.

A hexagonal garden seating area made of fresh concrete with a polished surface is arranged in the center of the garden. Connections made of large-format, hexagonal concrete block slabs with acidified surface lead through the garden. In order to provide barrier-free access to the show garden for all visitors, the pavement deliberately avoids staggering the heights. Next to the garden seating area, a honeycomb-shaped "sky mirror" is set up, a dark stone over which a thin film of water flows, creating a mirror.

The plant selection consists of particularly nectar- and pollen-rich plants that visitors can also use at home in the garden. The planting beds are staggered in height and also offer visitors in wheelchairs the opportunity to experience the scent of smaller plants and view them up close. In addition to planting beds with especially bee-friendly plants, beds are also shown as miniature snack gardens. Between the planting beds, a richly flowering and species-rich flower meadow is created on which 3 sculptural apple trees are distributed.

A bee box for honey bees is placed at the edge of the garden. An insect hotel is also created for other insects in various honeycombs of the enclosure. A water stone serves as an insect watering hole. With a recessed trough, it offers bees and insects the opportunity to land and drink close to the water.
The garden is enclosed by light-colored thin-walled concrete wall elements and transparent-looking wooden elements in honeycomb form. Some honeycombs serve as insect-friendly light elements to illuminate the garden. The elements resemble the colour of honey and create a warm, cosy atmosphere in the garden.

The Bee Garden combines modern design with the highest ecological standards. It is a sustainable home garden with a high native species richness.
