In front of the historic city wall of Gransee, a restrained, park-like open space with various recreational qualities and play opportunities was created.

The park at the city wall - first a rampart garden, then a municipal cemetery, later a car park and playground - is divided into three areas: Wall with ramparts and old trees, large open meadow in the centre and cycle and footpath along the eastern boundary of the park with allotments and connection to the existing North Promenade, a circular route around the city wall.
Elements from different time layers are carefully inserted. For example, there are structures from the cemetery use, a wooden knight figurine from the playground period, and two small-scale architectures from the 1970s. Due to its openness and functionality, the park also allows for city festivals or circus events beyond the usual use of the meadow by groups of people. Objects such as table tennis tables, swings, graffiti wall, seating and climbing object, a large meadow throne as well as a bottle box offer play and recreational quality.
