New planning of the playground defined in the development plan Freiburg - St. Georgen, Innere Elben
The area of the playground adjacent to the turning ramp is designed as an entrance plaza, here are also seating options for parents. Vertical tree trunks along the turning ramp are at the same time demarcation and feature of the playground.
Two seating steps of natural stone down is a large sand oval with water pump, mud zone and play and climbing opportunities for the smaller children.
The rear playground area is more extensively designed, here the older children find opportunities for free play and retreat. This extensive area is connected to the front intensive zone by a narrow band of paving in the sweep. To the neighbouring properties the playground is delimited by a low hill landscape and shrubs.
The planning was done with citizen participation, in addition, the parents and children were given the opportunity to help with the construction on one day, which was accepted with great enthusiasm even by the youngest!
