The residential complex on Senftenberger Ring provides accommodation for up to 500 refugees on the previously undeveloped meadow area. With a high proportion of green spaces, the complex blends in with the existing development structure of the surrounding large housing estates.

In terms of sustainable planning, a later conversion or subsequent use as regular residential buildings must also be taken into account.

The theme of green spaces flowing through and separated from the street is taken up and continued. The distance to the street creates a maximum of privacy, creates neighborly acceptance and generously usable outdoor areas.

A connecting road runs north-south, with a further exit to the north (for the fire department and refuse collection). This paved area can also be used as a play and exercise area, as there is no through traffic on the road. The refuse collection areas are located centrally between the two buildings. On the west side, the garbage area is planted with trees and shrubs, giving the play and recreation area behind it an attractive appearance. There are play facilities for both very young children and teenagers. In addition, the play and recreation area has a table and bench combination on a paved area that invites children to linger. Further benches are spread across the site and also offer quieter retreats. Spaced plantings directly around the buildings ensure the necessary intimacy of the living spaces.
