Flower fish on the large Wannsee Shared gardens for a conference hotel and school hostel

The VIA Blumenfisch Werkstätten operate a school hostel and a conference center in two Wilhelminian-style villas on the property on the large Wannsee lake. The design concept for the outdoor facilities pursues the idea of changing the property only slightly, but upgrading it in many places.



For example, the playing fields in the vicinity of the school hostel are to be properly designed as playing fields (badminton, table tennis, basketball) using suitable surfacing materials and markings.

A football pitch with a water-bound surface, where the children can let off steam, has already been installed. In the future, a jungle play trail will be added to the play area.



The children and workshop staff plant and care for kitchen herbs, vegetables and fruit bushes in the educational nature garden.

The terrace of the conference center was designed in the form of a promenade, which is surrounded by a dry stone wall made of large natural stone blocks, which also partially absorbs the difference in height.

A long natural stone staircase, which is stylishly illuminated in the evening, leads through the large garden grounds to Wannsee.



A promenade has been designed along the waterfront for a variety of activities, such as the various events held on the property. Parallel to this is the wooden bathing jetty, from which there is also a long jetty with individual finger piers for mooring boats.
