Committed skaters from Jüterbog have succeeded in obtaining funding for the construction of a skate park in their town thanks to an innovative project application.
Together with the future users, hochC and DSGN-concepts developed a design for the skate park during workshops. The design takes maximum account of the needs of young people in the choice of skate elements, while at the same time the facility is designed as a sculpture that blends harmoniously into the surrounding green space with an adjacent protected biotope and sports facilities.
Both the skate elements and the riding surface (flat) are made of high-quality concrete. This guarantees optimum riding characteristics with the greatest possible noise reduction.
Local residents and citizens were involved in the search for a location for the skate park. This helped to increase acceptance of the skate park in advance and dispel reservations about the construction of a leisure facility for young people.
The facility is now very popular with young skaters from Jüterbog and the surrounding area.
