The housing estate, located in the district of Berlin Lankwitz, is divided into four areas by the intersecting Seydlitzstraße and Bellingstraße. Built around 1920s, the railway housing estate consists of a total of six apartment blocks with different sized courtyards. In the course of the renovations of the apartments and the development of several attics, the open spaces (total size 29,000m2) of the housing estate in the inventory were also renovated and upgraded.
All five courtyards of the residential complex were individually designed according to a color concept. This is reflected in the flower colours of the plantings, the furniture and the playground equipment. The three already completed courtyards have purple, yellow and orange as their colour focus. In the centre of the spacious courtyards, large tables, benches and raised beds invite tenants to garden and picnic together. These meeting points for strengthening the tenant community are complemented by extensive playgrounds, sand and play areas.
