Design of a new playground area

OUTPUT SITUATION

A generous residential area has been created between the Niersaue and the town centre of Süchteln. At its edge is a green corridor with a large playground intended to serve a wide catchment area.

DESIGN

The playground areas develop with their various functions from a square neighbourhood square. The graphically divided parts with vegetation, sand play, asphalt driving surface and recessed equipment play area lie like a fan in a play meadow. Because there is a high demand for boules play, a water-bound area was integrated.

Sufficient space provides the opportunity to create a toddler area away from the equipment for older children. Due to the location in a hollow, which has created a beautiful sunny slope, the fall protection of pearl gravel is not carried out of the play area. A climbing wall up to 3 m high, which is also a retaining wall, has been created as a challenging play area for older children. In addition, rotating equipment is particularly well received because it encourages the children to play together.
