As part of the expansion of the Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology on the campus of the Max Planck Institute in Potsdam-Golm, the outdoor facilities were also redesigned and renovated. The development was redesigned and additional high-quality recreational areas
created. The design was intended to take up the existing structures, further develop existing elements and integrate them into the design.
An ensemble with bar tables, benches, loungers and a water feature was created on the central square as a place to meet and communicate
.
Another recreational area has been created on the spacious roof terrace, which has been intensively planted with greenery. The entire outdoor area is barrier-free. In addition to a new car parking facility, bicycle parking spaces
were also created. The rainwater is drained via a decentralized infiltration system using troughs and trenches.
