Jury verdict "Cologne Architecture Prize 2017:

"Hybrid hybrid creatures rarely have a happy ending. The Chimera, for example, a mythical creature of antiquity, at once a lion, a goat and a snake, is killed with a spear.In contrast, the Cologne hybrid, half multi-storey car park, half residential complex, deserves recognition. This applies equally to the architects, builders and authorities. Together, the economically imperative and exemplary deconstruction of a parking garage was realized by converting dreary parking space into living space on the top three floors."
