This house garden combines a complex elevation situation with the flair of a Japanese house garden. Structured by two natural stone walls, three levels are formed, which are elegantly connected by a curved path.
The natural stone paved path leads visitors past large boulders and attractive plantings, through a Japanese archway and up to the water source. This emerges from a graceful spring stone and swings back down over a waterfall into a small pond.
In combination with the choice of materials, the curved shapes convey calm and balance in the style of a Zen garden. This is underpinned by the traditional Japanese teahouse, the adjacent tea garden and various other details that reveal themselves as you stroll through the garden.
The interplay of rippling water, magnificent plantings and natural stones of all shapes and sizes creates a retreat that brings a piece of Japan into our homes.
