The impressive ensemble of swing bridge with bridge house, media docks, cranes, shed 6 and the facades of the western edge of the old town is staged over a generous cleared harbour area. It finds its conclusion in a 40m wide flight of steps. Between the benches a barrier-free spiral leads down to the water.
The prelude to a new promenade 'An der Untertrave' is a small architecture with gastronomy. Under the first trees, sunbeds and benches are arranged with a view of the harbor hustle and bustle.
