Vocational school Elmshorn

Due to the new construction of the workshop building of the vocational school Elmshorn on the former parking lot area, new schoolyard and parking lot areas are needed in the area of the existing schoolyard. In the course of this redesign, the existing schoolyard areas, which were built in the 80s, will be redesigned and renovated as part of the structural maintenance.
The existing paved areas are not in good condition and are partially deteriorating.
Also a forecourt in front of the new workshop building as well as further car parking spaces south of the new workshop building will be created.

Draft description | Explanation of planning
Based on the existing qualities of the school grounds with its pavilion and the very beautiful stock of trees and shrubs, a clear and modern appearance for the outdoor facilities of the Elmshorn Vocational School will be developed. The required car and bicycle parking facilities for the vocational school students will be integrated into this concept.
The existing green spaces will be preserved and integrated as far as possible in the new or redesign.

The forecourt of the new workshop building will have a spacious and open appearance, which will be maintained by the large existing oak tree and traced with under planting and a long bench. Further seating completes the linear theme. Car parking spaces will also be created in the southern part of the new workshop building. Flower and herb meadows as well as planting areas give the new building a green frame.
