Both the harbour square and the Kirchberg slope opposite, which can be reached via the new pedestrian bridge, were completed for the State Garden Show 2005. The harbour square was designed as a spacious, natural stone square with a characteristic water staircase and covered with large umbrella lime trees in the area of the beer garden. Opposite, the Kirchberg slope with its terraces recalls its historical importance as a vineyard and was therefore planted with real wine and fruit trees. On the bank, you can linger on the wooden terraces integrated into the embankment or on the extensive meadows under pear and apple trees. As a green oasis, the Kirchberg slope forms a beautiful contrast to the more urban harbour square on the other side of the lock canal.
