In the north and in the south there are two intensively and high-quality designed bands. Wide, extensive lawns and meadows with individual trees and small woods characterise the centre. The northwestern park entrance and the diagonal path connections from the old town and future residential development are essential design ideas.
In the northern strip, more horticultural themes are envisaged in the transition from the existing allotment. To the south of this and in a ribbon with the Armour Hall are areas for sporting and recreational uses. The existing armoured hall is also integrated into the concept and will be used for sports in the future. The southern part is open for use. The Bürgerpark will be a prime example of climate-friendly design. The many trees increase shading and evaporation and reduce back radiation. The water is collected partly in infiltration trenches and partly in cisterns. The paved areas were reduced to a minimum.
