Competition for new residential development Freudenberger Weg 1st rank - Redesign of the surroundings of new residential development

The site to be planned is located in Berlin-Spandau, Falkenhagener Feld and currently serves mainly as an open space in the middle of existing residential buildings. It is also an important link between Freudenberger Weg and Salchendorfer Weg. This public thoroughfare is to be taken up and strengthened in the new development.



The Charlottenburger Baugenossenschaft is planning the construction of four five-storey and one eight-storey residential building here. The architecture and open space are to form a unit in terms of both design and function. In terms of urban planning, the aim is for the new quarter to dovetail with the existing buildings without acting as a barrier to them.
